I can’t take all the credit for the name; when I told an old co-worker / friend about our idea for a gardening blog, he immediately came back with that. Having thought it was quite hilarious, I excitedly told Marty, who also found it comical. I then purchased the domain and began setting up our first gardening blog.

We live in southern Ontario and have about 7 months of gardening season here ranging from early June to mid-September. Ontario’s weather ranges from cold (in the winters) to hot (in the summer).

We’ve planted a total of four beds so far this year and have plans for another 2 at least. The first two beds were planted about 5 weeks ago (Early May), and another two new ones went up 3 weeks ago.
